Event Details

This 5-week online class will teach skills in drawing and draftsmanship through explanation of theory and practice of techniques. This knowledge will help us bridge the gap between what we see, what our mind thinks we see and what comes out on the paper.

The process you will learn in class can be taken as far as you want. Our class time will be split between lecture and exercises. Homework, as well as continued learning, will be given out for each of the classes. Any homework assigned is in not required and it’s your choice to complete as much or as little as you want. We all have a different amount of time to commit to practice.

When you are finished with this class you will have a general understanding of the principals that will help you create better drawings. You will complete a lot of exercises meant to build skill. You will also create a couple of small drawings, hopefully more if you are ambitious. The drawings you create will not be finished and it will be up to you to take them further. For those who want to push their work further faster I also offer critiques to go along with each class and the assignments. This course is open to adults and teens. Younger students are welcome after instructor conversation with parent or guardian.
