On Friday, December 6, Taps at the Guardhouse features a solo performance by songwriter Norman Baker at 6pm as part of the Friday Night Live series. Baker writes original songs rooted in country, folk and classic song forms.

In 2019, Norman Baker played dozens of shows in California and the Southwest, and he performed his way across Texas last spring. The biography on Baker’s website begins with a mantra: “Traveling, creating, and sharing original live music are a few essential ingredients for the enrichment of humanity.”

Norman Baker has appeared on over 30 albums, and performs more than 200 shows each year. He also leads his own band, Norman Baker & The Backroads, and he consistently performs with the region’s best country musicians at dance halls and concert venues around the Northwest.
