On Friday, February 14, Kit Stovepipe & Jonathan Doyle perform at Taps at the Guardhouse at Fort Worden from 6-8pm as part of the weekly Friday music series. Stovepipe & Doyle are an American roots music duo who play country blues, jug band, early jazz, and hillbilly music.

Kit Stymee Stovepipe is a Musician, Artist, and 78 collector based in the Pacific Northwest. He currently plays with the Crow Quill Night Owls and has also shared stages with Honey Boy Edwards, Dick Dale, John Sebastion, Robin Ramaley of the Holy Modal Rounders, and Baby Gramps. Stovepipe has also toured and recorded a Grammy-nominated album with singer Maria Muldaur. He has played everywhere from West Coast Farmers Markets to the subways of New York.

Known as a clarinetist, saxophonist, composer, and arranger, Jonathan Doyle brings over twenty years of experience with American roots music, particularly early jazz, jug band, and country blues. Living in Port Townsend, Doyle often hits the road and frequently visits Chicago and Austin. After a brief stint with
the Asylum Street Spankers, he joined the vibrant traditional jazz, swing, and western swing scene in Central Texas, performing with well-established acts such as Willie Nelson and Asleep at the Wheel and his own project, The Jonathan Doyle Quintet/Swingtet.
