Event Details

Want to experience the joy of film photography either for the first time or to become reacquainted after a long absence?

The first session will cover all the basic film camera settings and a brief dip into theory in a non-technical manner. We will help get you up and running with whatever film camera you have. We will also discuss options on how to acquire a film camera. We’ll discuss resources for purchasing film, film processing, printing and scanning.

The second session is intentionally offset from the initial session to allow enough time for shooting your first rolls and getting them developed and printed.  We will review problems experienced by students and suggest solutions. Also covered: an overview of film scanning techniques, post-processing options for working with scanned images on a computer and options for low-cost printing at home.

All experience levels welcome.

This 2-session series will be available through Zoom technology. After registration you will receive log in information and other details via email. You will need to download the free Zoom application (https://zoom.us) prior to the class. A stable internet connection provides the best experience.
