We all get stuck in our ways – let’s reclaim our playful spirit! In a relaxed environment, using your own work, we will try something new. In the end we will come away having experimented together, and equipped with an expanded mindset about our work.

Teaching artist Jessica Keteyian is a painter who works slow and precise, with a side hustle of messing around in the studio, to keep things lively and stay in touch with her punk rock roots. She loves to see other people find creative sparks through doing something different.

Students should bring at least one existing piece (small enough to travel) that you are willing to change. It can be a piece you don’t think resolved, or something you love. You can also bring a small travel kit of your own usual tools if you want. You can expect a low-pressure vibe where we practice changing things up and sharing ideas about creative process.

Keteyian is a life-long artist who grew up in a family of artists. She has worked in many mediums including painting, textiles, and dance. Creative process is her major in life. Keteyian studied at the Boston Conservatory, Massachusetts College of Art, and Harvard University.
