Taps at the Guardhouse has temporarily closed its doors as we head into the winter season.
We will miss serving you from our historic Guardhouse! However, we need to adjust to our financial situation as business slows due to the season and the pandemic.
Reveille will remain open for the time being, and we hope you’ll join us there. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, stop by and warm up with grab & go coffee, soup, and breakfast and lunch options.
Built in 1904, the Guardhouse provided “transient” accommodations for soldiers who breached military discipline, usually as a result of unauthorized activities in the rough and tumble taverns on Port Townsend’s notorious Water Street.
Today, the Guardhouse is a place to “shed your shackles” and enjoy a pub atmosphere featuring artisanal small plates and regional craft brews, ciders, wines and spirits. Stop in and enjoy local art exhibits, live music, and a great atmosphere!
