Fort Worden Special Events Vendor Application 

 

Thanks for your interest! Applications for Thing 2023 have closed. 

 

Welcome! We are now accepting applications for Field Day at Fort Worden and THING 2023. 

Food Vendors are Required to Supply: 

  • Current Washington State business license. Out-of-state vendors can get a temporary license here. 
  • Port Townsend Business License Out of town folks can add Port Townsend to your existing license here. 
  • Jefferson County Health Department Temporary Food Services Permit, available here 
  • Proof of Insurance with Fort Worden Hospitality named as additional insured 
  • Completed form and business license required to complete application.
  • Tent weights approved by City of Port Townsend (30lb per leg) 
  • Fireproof tent if you have open flame under your tent 
  • Fire extinguisher (class K for Thing NW) 
  • Oil can for used oil 
  • Food grade hoses if you need water 

 

THING – August 25, 26, 27

THING is a music and arts festival, featuring up and coming performers. Expected attendance is up to 7000 people over 3 days.  

For THING Food Vendors Should Know: 

  • Food trucks and vendors with trailers should plan to load in on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
  • Booth fee includes 20 amps of electricity. We require the wattage of your equipment when you apply. Additional fees do apply for electrical above 20 amps and fee depends upon additional wattage being requested.
  • Let us know if you need water as part of your food service (ex. steaming buns, making coffee/rice/pasta). You will need to bring your own food safe 25-50-foot water hose.
  • No bottled water or single serve plastic bottles are allowed to be sold at the event.
  • No alcohol can be served.
  • Based on event sponsorships for THING, there may be some restrictions on which non-alcoholic beverages can be sold. Fort Worden Hospitality will update all food vendors once this has been finalized with the production team.
  • You are required to leave your space as you found it. Please haul out your trash and oil after the event. If you don’t leave your space clean you will be charged an additional clean-up fee of $250 and won’t be asked to come back to future events at Fort Worden.
  • Fort Worden Hospitality will contact you via email within two weeks of submitting your application. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to events@fortworden.org.
  • When accepted you will be required to submit certificate of insurance, signed waiver of participation and a non-refundable payment to secure your space at the event.
  • Please send photos of your business, merchandise, food, truck for promotional purposes to events@fortworden.org
  • Please submit a description of your food to events@fortworden.org, which will be included on the THING website and program by June 20. Be precise with your language! Your exact submission will be used.

10×10 booth $600 

10×15 booth $850 

10×20 booth $1150 

10×25 booth $1350

Field Day at Fort Worden – June 24, 2023 in partnership with The Production Alliance

Field Day at Fort Worden is a summer kickoff festival with games and live music, food and drinks. Expected attendance is 1500 people. 

For Field Day Food and Market/Activity Vendors Should Know: 

  • Food trucks and vendors with trailers should plan to load in on event day by 2 pm. Let us know if this is going to be an issue.
  • Note that the Field Day event has no electricity provided.
  • Let us know if you need water as part of your food service (ex. steaming buns, making coffee/rice/pasta). You will need to bring your own food safe 25-50-foot water hose.
  • No bottled water or single serve plastic bottles are allowed to be sold at the event.
  • No alcohol can be served.
  • You are required to leave your space as you found it. Please haul out your trash and oil after the event. If you don’t leave your space clean you will be charged an additional clean-up fee of $250 and won’t be asked to come back to future events at Fort Worden.

10×10 booth – $250 flat fee, or $50 + 10% gross sales
