Group and Team Activities

Cultivate community during your event with the following memorable shared experiences on campus. These suggested opportunities are available to accommodate the entire group as a team building exercise or as smaller break-out group sessions. Please keep in mind that these activities are based on availability and are subject to change.

Host a bonfire & welcome reception:

  • Play first, work later. Rent a fire pit, buy some hot dogs & s’more stuff, and host a casual welcome reception outside of one of your rented accommodations.  Take in views of the Puget Sound as you breathe in the crisp evenings of the Olympic Peninsula. This is an excellent way to make guests feel welcomes and right at home of the first evening of your stay – we even have lawn games you can borrow from the Front Desk at the Commons.   We could provide a pop up bar, refreshment station or BBQ dinner.

Get balanced with morning movement:

  • Slay those first day pre-meeting jitters with breathing and movement at our onsite wellness studio, Madrona MindBody. Organize a private yoga lesson before your morning meetings each day to help gain balance and alignment as a team. Dive deeper into the mind body connection to ensure a productive & dynamic retreat.  A healthy, locally sourced catered breakfast could be arranged for afterwards.

Natural history & wildlife as art:

  • Port Townsend Marine Science Center could offer its aquarium exhibits, natural history center, or a walk along the beach at low tide. Delve deeper into conservation, nature and wildlife as an art form. An evening reception could be organized and catered.

Bring out your inner creative:

  • After a long day of meetings, indulge as a group with local wine and art at Northwind Art.   “Paint Your Palate” classes are available or a custom, private workshop could be arranged.
