This exhibition is musical innovator Danny Barnes’ debut as a visual artist! After an injury to his hearing, Barnes expanded from banjo playing into drawing and painting, with encouragement from his musician-artist friend Tracy Grisman. Now they both have their artwork — much of it celebrating music — on display at Northwind Art’s Grover Gallery. Forty-two pieces share the space with artifacts including a cigar-box banjo Barnes built.
