“Creating Personalized Tarot Cards” is the next class with teaching artist Leila Block this Friday evening at Northwind Art School, in Fort Worden’s Building 306.

“This class is a practice of meditative art making,” said Block, who will guide participants age 15 to adult, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Beginning artists are encouraged.

“Personalized Tarot Cards” is “an opportunity to practice trusting yourself, and to take a moment of connection with your own rich inner world,” Block said.

“Engaging tarot is a ceremony,” she added, “and before we make our own cards, we will take a moment to remember where we want to be headed, and how we want it to feel when we get there. Then the art making is just following inner directives — easy and so lovely to do in a small group.”
