Come explore the bold dynamics of ink in this fun four-week series. Using the simple mediums of ink markers, India ink, and white pencil, we will take a different approach to these materials each week as we explore inventive ideas used by other artists. Week one, we will look at British/Caribbean contemporary artist, Chris Ofili’s work, and create our own Line Design Drawing. Week two, we will explore the power of opposite dynamics in a Reverse Ink Painting after looking at the prints of the Japanese artist, Shiko Munakata. Week three, we will venture into abstraction with a Geometric to Organic Collage inspired by the work of contemporary American artist, Ben Pranger. And week four, we will make a Layered Form Drawing using my own ink and pencil technique, which builds the illusion of form on painted shapes. Come join us on-line, all levels of experience are welcome!
