Event Details

Here’s a wild weekend workshop ideal for midsummer: “Quilting Birds with Abandon,” Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 5-6 at Northwind Art School. Teaching artist Robin O’Neil invites beginner to intermediate participants — age 15 to adult — with basic sewing machine experience to join this joyful class. Sessions will go from 10 AM to 4 PM both days in Northwind Art’s Building 324 at Fort Worden State Park.

“This is an improvisational quilting class, a collage-with-fabric experience,” says Robin. She’ll guide you in making large squares with  “bird” ideas: NOT representational, just the spirit of birds. No experience is needed. For more details, visit https://northwindart.org and click on Courses.
