This online class will explore the art and traditional practices of the Mexican holiday, El Dia De Los Muertos. Sugar skulls, paper flowers and skeletons have become popular images in our culture, especially during Halloween. We will learn about the meaning behind these images, and create unique artworks inspired by Mexican folk art. Students will learn techniques in tin art, drawing and paper craft.
Art supply kits for these projects are included with the purchase of this class! Kits may be picked up downtown at PtSA’s Grover Gallery during business hours Thursday-Monday 12-5, or by appointment. Please remember to bring your emailed order confirmation (printed out or on your phone) when picking up the art kit.
